The protagonist, Melody, is a child with cerebral palsy and a photographic memory for words, but unable to communicate and perform basic tasks without assistance. Melody's ultimate dream is to be able to speak, and they stumble upon a device called "Medi-talker" that allows them to communicate.

Through using the device, Melody becomes a successful member of a quiz team, but faces the challenge of being heard and understood in a society that often misunderstands those with disabilities. Will Melody be able to break through the prejudice and share their innermost thoughts and feelings?
