The successful librarian, Su-in, is transferred to a small wooden library in the middle of the forest after decorating the library at Susan High School. Despite being part of the elite 1% of society, Su-in's girlfriend Yul is leaving for the US to build a better resume, leaving Su-in to struggle with the new school system, fellow teachers, and unruly students.

Amidst it all, a group of students gather at the library to support each other and escape into the world of books. As they navigate their way through various challenges, including the relentless bullying from a gang of students, the bookish adventures of Itaemi who believes books can talk, and the anxieties of Hui-gon, the students learn the importance of perseverance and the power of reading.
