In high school, Haru Kurosaki once heard a song by an unknown artist that inspired him to ultimately pursue his interests. He is a graphic designer now, and his most recent assignment was to create a CD cover for the talented musician Eddie Astley. When Haru sees Eddie at a rock performance, he learns how inaccurate his initial impression of him was.

Eddie comes across as intimidating and distant on the outside. Haru starts to consider the message and feelings that Eddie attempts to communicate through his music as he sees past Eddie's irritable demeanor and gets a peek of the man beneath the affectation.
